Every movement begins with communication between the brain, nervous system, muscles, posture, metabolism, cellular health – and the family supporting your child every day.
Whether you want the full story, ongoing research, or to see the method in action – start wherever feels right for your family.

A live, practical session with Clementine on how the four foundations come together in a real rehabilitation programme.
We understand.
As muscles become weaker, the nervous system adapts. Movement changes. Posture changes. Compensations develop. Recovery becomes more challenging.
That’s why we don’t focus on a single therapy. We support the systems that influence how your child moves every day.
Each foundation focuses on a different part of how your child moves - and each one shapes the others. Open any card to go deeper into the science behind it, or read the full guide.
Read the Full Method GuideHelping the brain organise better movement - supporting communication between the nervous system and the body through Neuro Reflex Therapy, motor learning, proprioception and functional rehabilitation.
The nervous system is constantly changing according to what it repeatedly experiences. When a movement pattern is repeated thousands of times, the nervous system becomes increasingly familiar with that strategy — so our aim is to repeatedly expose it to the best-quality movement your child can safely achieve.
Movement requires precise coordination between many muscles. Motor control determines which muscles activate, when, how much force they produce, and how muscle groups coordinate together. We use carefully selected movement and sensory activities to encourage more efficient strategies — rather than simply asking a child to "work harder."
Proprioception is the body's internal sense of position and movement. By working with posture, weight bearing, movement and sensory stimulation, we aim to provide rich proprioceptive input that supports body awareness and motor organisation.
A form of targeted sensory stimulation within our method, integrated with movement rather than used as an isolated treatment — providing structured input while working with your child's nervous system, body awareness and movement programme.
Improving posture, biomechanics and movement quality - helping the body move more efficiently through postural rehabilitation, gait retraining and functional movement.
Posture provides the mechanical foundation from which movement occurs. Changes in muscle strength can gradually alter the relationship between the feet, knees, hips, pelvis, spine and shoulders — so we look at your child globally rather than focusing only on the muscle that appears weak.
Selected Egoscue-inspired exercises work with alignment, mobility and functional positioning, adapted to your child's diagnosis, strength and fatigue level. The objective is never to exhaust vulnerable muscles — but to create opportunities for more efficient positions and movement strategies.
Walking is one of the most complex activities the nervous and musculoskeletal systems perform. As weakness develops, children may adopt strategies such as toe walking, increased lumbar lordosis, pelvic rotation, a wider stance or trunk leaning. Rather than looking only at the feet, we analyse the entire movement chain to understand why the compensation is occurring.
Rehabilitation must translate into everyday life — standing, walking, changing position, getting up, reaching, playing, maintaining independence. Exercises support function, not just a particular muscle.
Supporting the internal environment that helps muscles function - photobiomodulation, nutrition, gut health, metabolic support and recovery strategies working together.
Muscular dystrophies are genetic disorders, and Recharge does not attempt to replace disease-modifying medical treatment. Instead, this foundation asks: how can we support the biological environment in which your child's muscles and nervous system are functioning?
Specific wavelengths of light are used to interact with cellular processes. Research has investigated its effects on areas including mitochondrial activity, ATP production, oxidative stress, inflammatory signalling, circulation and tissue recovery. Within our method it is used as a supportive modality — not as a treatment for the underlying genetic cause.
Muscles require adequate energy, protein, essential amino acids, vitamins and minerals. Nutrition also influences body composition, bone health and recovery — so we consider it part of your child's broader rehabilitation environment.
The gastrointestinal system interacts with nutrient absorption, immune function, metabolism, inflammatory signalling and the nervous system — sometimes described through the gut–brain and gut–muscle axis.
We pay attention to energy metabolism, blood glucose regulation, body composition, sleep, endocrine health and the metabolic consequences of long-term medication — particularly relevant for children on corticosteroid therapy, always alongside your neurologist and endocrinologist.
More exercise is not always better. Sleep, nutrition, activity intensity, fatigue management and recovery time are all part of the rehabilitation strategy.
Teaching parents how to continue rehabilitation every day - education, coaching and practical training that help families become confident partners in their child's rehabilitation.
A therapist might see your child for several hours. You are there every day. That creates an enormous opportunity — not to make families dependent on appointments, but to help you understand why you're doing something, how to do it safely, and when the programme needs to change.
You'll learn about your child's movement patterns, compensation, posture, motor learning, fatigue and recovery — and receive a structured home programme adapted to your family's real daily life, not an all-day therapy schedule.
Families using photobiomodulation are taught their individual home protocol, including safe application. We help you build practical routines around movement, Neuro Reflex work, postural exercises, recovery and nutrition.
For families who want deeper training, the MD Vitality Parent Academy™ offers structured education online or in Cyprus. As your child grows, we recommend personalised follow-up every 3–4 months to reassess and adapt the programme.
